The Dolphin Watching Adriatic programme in collaboration with the Blue World Institute offers an unforgettable experience of looking to see dolphins in the Natura 2000 marine protected area of Cres-Lošinj archipelago. Before the boat leaves the port of Veli Lošinj, you will get acquainted with the basics of marine mammals’ ecology and research by our experts trained by Blue World Institute science crew. After you board the specially equipped boat operated by our experienced crew, you will have the opportunity to see dolphins in their natural habitat. Our statistic says you have more than 90% chance to see them!
The Dolphin Watching Adriatic staff will provide you with fascinating insights into the behaviour of these endangered marine animals and conservation efforts to save them. Our eco-friendly adventure promotes responsible tourism and supports ongoing research of bottlenose dolphins in the Adriatic Sea. Each excursion is an opportunity to connect with nature, find out more about the marine biodiversity of Cres- Lošinj archipelago and contribute to the protection of Adriatic dolphins. This activity requires a minimum of 6 adults. The maximum capacity of the boat is 12 people. Different pick-up and drop-off locations are not possible. There is no toilet on the boat. You board the boat at your own risk.
The reservation is considered confirmed after the ticket has been paid in full and we have received confirmation of the payment. Once the reservation has been confirmed, the amount paid for the ticket cannot be refunded. The ticket can be transferred to another person only for the booked trip time. If you fail to come on your reserved trip, you cannot be refunded. If the trip is cancelled by Blue World ltd. the amount paid will be refunded in full. Passengers cannot claim any other costs. If no dolphins are seen during the first Dolphin Watching trip for which the price of the service was paid, passengers will be allowed another free outing during the next 7 days – if possible, guests will choose a timeslot for that tour according to availability at the time of booking.
Introductory lecture before the tour
Respectful approach towards dolphins – maximum time in the presence of dolphins is 30 minutes.
