On the Cres island, there are many producers of various homemade, ecological products. Olive oil, honey, marmalades from various island fruits, wool products, traditional sweets and a special sweet olive spread are products made with traditional methods and using local ingredients. Visitors can be assured of that just by exploring the island where they will see many olive groves and sheep freely grazing around. In the early morning hours, one can also see fishing boats returning from the sea bringing fresh fish to the shore. Fresh, natural, and made with love – those are the marks of Cres island local products.
From June until September every Tuesday and Friday you can enjoy local products exhibition Creska butega which takes places on the main square in the town of Cres. During Creska butega event you can meet the local producers and find excellent local products!
The diversity and large offer of events on the island of Cres, created on the basis of natural resources, gastronomy, culture and tradition, attracts and delights an increasing number of guests every year.
